Do you appear in a photo or video?

I share events, venues, dinners and collaborations, so you might appear in one of my posts. I want everyone in them to feel comfortable: if you'd rather not be there, just write to me. No formalities, and you don't need to give a reason.

How to ask

Email info@enricabeltrando.com with the subject “Removal request” and include:

  • the link (or a screenshot) of the content and how to recognise you, for example “the person in the red jacket on the left”;
  • whether you prefer removal or anonymisation (blurred face, cropped image);
  • whether the same content is also on my Instagram or TikTok profiles.

If the request concerns a minor, one of the parents can send it.

What happens next

  • Usually within 2 working days I hide the content as a precaution and confirm I'm handling your request.
  • I then tell you the final outcome, with a reasoned reply within 30 days, as required by the GDPR (Art. 12).
  • This applies to this website and to my social profiles. If a brand or partner venue has reused the content, I'll pass your request on to them.
  • I'll only ask for more information if I have reasonable doubts about your identity. It's free of charge.

You always keep the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) or to go to court. How I handle images of people is explained in the privacy policy.

Appearing in content gives no copyright

Copyright belongs to whoever creates a work, not to whoever appears in it (Arts. 6 and 88 Law 633/1941). Appearing in a photo or video, like a venue, product or brand appearing in it, gives no copyright in the work.

People who appear in content do keep the right to their own image and to the protection of their personal data: the simplest and fastest way to exercise it is the removal request described above.

Copyright infringement notices to platforms, hosting providers or search engines can only be filed by the owner of the rights in the work. A copyright notice filed by someone who is not the owner is not the right channel and may be challenged with a counter-notice.

If you believe content on this website infringes your copyright, write to info@enricabeltrando.com: every good-faith report is reviewed and, if well-founded, the content is removed.
